The town of Lasalle is a healthy, vibrant and caring community with a population of approximately 29,000.
There are many beautiful parks you can visit year-round. Lasalle’s natural landscape makes playing in the great outdoors an adventure. There are beautiful walking trails passing through many kilometers of forests and natural vegetation. Geographically, Lasalle covers a large geographical area with over 30 km of hiking trails, and more than 100 acres of parkland, Carolinian forests, wetlands and tall grass prairies.
The Vollmer Culture and Recreation Complex is a multi-use complex built in 2008. It is 120,000 sq. ft. inside and 189 acres of land. Outside you will find soccer fields, baseball diamonds, trails and hills, pavilions, amphitheatre and skate board park. Indoors there are 2 NHL size arenas, a huge pool with wave action and slide, sauna, hot tub, fitness centre, meeting rooms and indoor concessions. The Vollmer Centre is home to the Lasalle Vipers Jr. B hockey club.
The Civic Centre features a library, friendship club and town hall. Walk along the boardwalk with water feature to the beautifully landscaped cenotaph Park. Lasalle plays host to numerous events, most notably the Annual Strawberry Festival. It is a 4 day event that offers a wide variety of entertainment and activities for everyone.
